Kaiser Permanente’s Community Benefit Department created an in-kind fund raising video for Soil Born Farms, an urban agriculture and education project based in Sacramento, CA.  The intent of this piece was to not only raise funds, but to create an awareness of the work that Soil Born Farms is doing in the community.

Jon Lewis collaborated with Kaiser’s MultiMedia Department’s producer Dianne Malliaras and created the open graphic treatment, animating and colorizing Soil Born’s logo and using existing art work as additional graphical elements.  Jon also provided the editorial on piece. This piece has already received rave reviews from Kaiser Permanente Management as well as Soil Born Farms staff.

When NASA Ames was looking to updated their branding elements for the media they produce, they came to JL Edit and Motion. Producer Jesse Carpenter had this to say about the project, “Working with JL Edit and Motion gave me, as the producer, creative options and flexibility to make our final results even better than my end client expected to see.

We designed and created three branding products for NASA Ames in both 2D and 3D. For the first project we developed and animated a Branding ID, to be used as an end tag on NASA Ames productions. The second, was an open title sequence for a new web series produced at NASA Ame focusing on the the center. Lastly we created an open title for a documentary series about the Kepler Mission.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Kaiser’s Family Violence Program Conference, JL Edit and Motion working together with producer Dianne Malliaras, created this kinetic typography piece to open the conference.

By giving it a unique style the video was able to set the tone for the conference and at the same time inform others about the program and how it can help others.

We worked with producer Tony Rice with Bleu Vinyl for the post production on this product launch for Enphase Energy. A leader in the field of solar energy, Enphase Energy has created several products that have changed how solar power is delivered. As this was an important launch for them we were happy to make their new microinvertor shine. We also created special versions of the video for their French and Italian markets.

Swoopo is an entertainment auction site. We designed and created this video promo and tutorial for Swoopo to show better how the auction site works. JL Edit produced this two minute piece creating the graphics, editorial, sound design and giving the logo a new look in 3D.

For QAD Software’s annual sales event, Slice Editorial teamed up with JL Edit and Motion to create the opening video kicking off the event.  Produced by Slice Editorial and Chris Fenwick, the client wanted to incorporate a kinetic text style that would highlight the features of the new products, be visually exciting, and yet stay close to the branding of the event. Working with Chris, we came up with the concept and unique style, Jon then created the motion design and editorial for the video.

Sephora ClickR Product Launch
When Sephora launched a new line of products, their production company, Mellange Studios, collaborated with JL Edit and Motion to create several branding and introduction videos of the new products for Sephora cast members. JL Edit and Motion created a playful graphical look to match the product design, provided the editorial, sound design and finishing to the videos. The videos featured, actor Cam Gigandet, made famous in Twilight, EasyA and Burlesque.

Working with the Slice editorial team, JL Edit and Motion designed and cut the opening video for the Schwab Impact 2010, Be Bold conference. Filling a screen that was 4000 x 2000 pixels with a visually stimulating graphics look and powerful images inspired the audience at the start of the conference.

First Responders Network.tv, a groundbreaking concept developed  by Ted Setla, who’s goal is to create better communication at the provider level of healthcare. As a content creator they excel at combining entertainment, education, collaboration and technology that sparks conversation aimed at improving the healthcare industry.

As they continue to grow we have been able to provide them with graphics packages to help in creating a look and feel to their brand. Here is a sample of some of the pieces we have done for them.

MoneyTrack, produced in partnership with Beyond Pixs, is a PBS series about money and investing that features real people. For their third season, MoneyTrack recreated their look and feel and JL Edit and Motion was called upon to create an updated graphics package for the series, giving the show a visual toolkit of fresh elements, based on the new design.
